More Ultraman Tiga monsters. Giant snail monsters! Quite possibly a tribute to a creature from Ultra Q?

I found one of them snail monsters about 9 years ago at a flea market for 5 pesos… Still have it :)

This is a Chochinobake the Japanese lantern ghost. It is a part of the Yokai/Oni mythology and more specifically called Tsukumogami which are ordinary objects that come alive on their 100th birthday. These creatures could be shoes, scrolls, musical instruments or the most common umbrellas (Kasa Obake) This doesn’t happen anymore because everything is cheap and plastic and not likely to last that long.
